Brief Synopsis, The Ghost, the Girl, and the Gold Mine, a 60,000 word paranormal romantic novel that I describe as The Ghost Whisperer crossed with A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.

Blending suspense, romance, and a chilling ghost mystery, The Ghost, the Girl, and the Gold Mine follows an investigative reporter and a police detective as they race to uncover the truth behind a missing girl—and the deadly secrets buried beneath a Southern gold mine.

When investigative reporter Claire Landon receives a message from the ghost of Maeve Donovan, a girl who vanished years ago, she returns to her small Southern hometown to uncover the truth behind Maeve’s death.  Teaming up—reluctantly—with handsome local detective Noah Reeves, for whom she feels an undeniable attraction, Claire follows a trail of corruption, pollution, and buried secrets that leads to the town’s still-operating gold mine and to a conspiracy by the mine owners to cover up a story of pollution, bribery, and police corruption—which Maeve had uncovered just before her disappearance.  As the danger increases and sightings of Maeve’s ghost become undeniable, Claire and Noah grow closer, eventually having to fight for their lives and love while trapped in the mine.
